I really try to not be negative or use negative thoughts to motivate myself or others. I find that it backfires more than it works. But here is something that needs to be said and understood.
IT’S NOT ALWAYS GOING TO BE FUN. IT’S NOT ALWAYS GOING TO BE RAINBOWS AND UNICORNS.
There are going to be days you just don’t want to do it. “IT” can be your fitness, your job, your relationships, whatever. Sometimes you want to say fuck it and throw it all in the trash.
You see, society is so much about instant gratification these days that sometimes there is a tendency to believe that you have “earned” the right to better health, more money, more fun, more relaxation. That you are entitled to it all.
Sorry, but none of us have “earned” anything. Yesterday is over. What you did is done. Today is a new day and each of us begins with a balance of zero. You have to prove it again. Work for it again.
Muhammad Ali once said, “I hated every morning workout. But I loved being World Champion.”
You see, sometimes you have to go through the shit to appreciate the great ahead. Put in the work, even the stuff you don’t like, and eventually you will enjoy the greatness ahead.
