CrossFit was introduced to me in college when I was exploring the best ways to get stronger, faster, and fitter. I had grown up running and swimming, while spending my free time in weight rooms teaching myself and others how to move safely. It wasn’t until CrossFit that I experienced the effect of functional movement, developing power, and training for life. It introduced the importance of being well rounded with my training and taught me to embrace working things I was bad at. I learned that it isn’t enough to be fast if you’re weak, and it isn’t enough to have good endurance if you don’t know how to be explosive. CF showed me that by identifying the gaps in my program, by working the things I never did, that I would improve and persevere. And that’s what happened, I got better at everything instantly. CrossFit allowed me to hit restart on who I thought I was as an athlete and put me in touch with myself in ways I otherwise never experienced. Training this way is a fresh start, a new beginning, and limitless with possibility.
With over ten years of personal training experience, I have crafted my coaching techniques based on the belief that physical movement can create balance in life. I have learned from personal experience that integration of the body and mind can help to overcome challenges in the world and in ourselves everyday. Through coaching, I teach individuals about optimal positioning for movement, how to activate muscles for efficiency, and how to persevere inside and outside of the box. Whether you’re a teenager, former athlete, senior citizen, or parent of three, I can teach you safe, effective ways to get the results you want. My intention is to help my clients discover new things about themselves in order to pave paths to the life lives they want to live.
Our bodies are incredibly smart, and their resiliency is unlike anything in the world. Their growth depends on our adaptability to circumstances and how we use them. My goal is to keep you learning about your movement and feeling healthier each day. I hope to empower us through knowledge that shows us real results that transfer to real life situations. Working on a team of dedicated and passionate coaches, I am confident that we can teach anybody fitness, movement, and how to live a healthier life.
